Spring has finally arrived. And nothing screams spring arrival like a “floral fantasy” themed Ipsy bag!
For those of you who do not know, Ipsy is a monthly beauty subscription box. Actually, it is a cute little makeup bag for the price of $10.
So, what do you get for $10?
The Ipsy bag is filled with about five beauty products that are either full size or deluxe size. When you sign up for Ipsy, you take a beauty quiz. The beauty products that you are given are based off of your quiz answers. I like that the Ipsy bag is customized to your individual likes, but sometimes I wish it were not. Well, this is only the case when I wish I got one of the products that were not in my bag.
Here’s a closer look at the Ipsy March 2015 bag…
I have been subscribed to Ipsy now for five months and I would have to say this is my favorite bag so far. I love the floral print and pastel colors. The design of the bag matches the “floral fantasy” theme perfectly. I save every month’s Ipsy bag due to its’ functionality; they are great to travel with.
Here’s what was inside…
NYX Butter Lipstick in Hunk– FULL SIZE! Value $6
I love the NYX butter glosses so I was excited to try out their butter lipstick. The formula is super creamy and moisturizing. It goes on the lips smooth and provides a satin finish. The color does not go on as dark as it appears, which was a relief. This lipstick is actually a beautiful berry color rather than a deep purple.
Skyn Iceland Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels (2 pairs)- Value $7.50
I love how cooling and soothing these eye gels feel. My under eyes felt so smooth and refreshed after the ten minute application. These are perfect for those days when you feel your eyes are looking tired. These are a must-have! I will be repurchasing. Added bonus: free of parabens, petroleum, mineral oil, sulfates, phthalates, synthetic fragrance and dye. 100% vegetarian, cruelty-free and allergy tested.
Marykayatplay Eye Crayon in Teal Me More– FULL SIZE! Value $10
This eye crayon is a beautiful teal color that has a bit of a sheen/shimmer to it. This eye crayon glides onto the eyes and does not apply super pigmented. It provides just the right amount of color on the lower lash line. The color can be built up if you are going for a bolder look. It also doubles as an eyeshadow and claims to be smearproof! Such a great addition to my eyeliner collection.
Coolway Glow Oil Treatment– Value $3
I tried this product once, but did not note a huge difference in the shine of my hair. I am going to keep using this product because I adore the scent. Even if it does not give my hair a “glow,” at least it smells wonderful.
Laneige BB Cushion SPF50+– Value $12
This product is interesting. It is a bb cream with SPF 50. It provides four application cushions in different shades. I assume you apply such cushions as you would use a beauty blender when applying liquid foundation. I will not be trying these due to the overwhelming perfume scent. Instant headache.
My final thoughts…
I will use and I really love the first four products I mentioned. The fifth product is in the trash. Still such a great deal for $10. If it were not for Ipsy, I would not have tried and fell in love with so many different products!
